Goals:
To furnish an introduction to Global Navigation Satellite Systems
To furnish an introduction to numerical analysis of GNSS raw measurements and processing
Topics:
Global Positioning System, GPS-based positioning, Signal structure, Error Sources, Performance of Stand-alone GPS, GPS Performance Vs Aircraft Navigation. Dual-frequency receivers. Carrier- Phase GPS. Differential GPS. GPS Modernization. GPS Augmentation (Aircraft-based, Groundbased, Satellite-based). Processing of raw GPS measurements. Satellite Navigation Toolbox©.
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of orbital dynamics
Basic knowledge of signal modulation
Basic knowledge of Matlab©
